Job Title:

Officer - Project Manager - AI Team (Overall 8-12 Years Experience)

Role Description: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager to lead and coordinate AI projects involving both traditional AI/ML and Generative AI (GenAI) use cases. The ideal candidate will have 8-12 years of professional experience in technology project management, with demonstrable success managing end-to-end delivery of AI/ML solutions. You will drive project execution in partnership with data scientists, AI/ML engineers, and platform teams, ensuring timely and high-quality outcomes that align with business objectives.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage multiple AI/ML and GenAI project streams from initiation to delivery, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
• Work closely with Data Science Leads, AI/ML Engineers, and stakeholders to define project scope, goals, deliverables, and success metrics for AI use cases (including LLM, RAG, and agentic applications).
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, resource allocation, timelines, and budgets, proactively identifying and mitigating risks.
• Coordinate and facilitate cross-functional collaboration between data science, engineering, product, and business teams for seamless project delivery.
• Oversee project governance, status reporting, and stakeholder communication ensure transparency on project progress, blockers, and outcomes.
• Track and ensure adherence to AI/ML project best practices, experimentation discipline, model evaluation, and compliance requirements.
• Support the transition of models from experimentation to production by coordinating with platform and engineering teams (packaging, APIs, deployment, monitoring).
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and innovation within the AI team.
• Stay current with advancements in AI/ML, GenAI, and project management methodologies to introduce best practices.
• Manage vendor/partner relationships, where applicable, to supplement internal project delivery.
• Support project-level quality assurance, compliance (including model risk, privacy, and security), and documentation efforts.

Core/Must Have Skills:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
• 8-12 years of overall experience in technology project management, with at least 3+ years managing AI/ML projects (including GenAI/LLM use cases).
• Strong understanding of the AI/ML project lifecycle: problem framing, experimentation, model development, evaluation, productionization, and monitoring.
• Proven track record of managing cross-functional teams and delivering complex AI projects on time and within budget.
• Hands-on experience working with data science, engineering, and business teams.
• Familiarity with traditional ML, LLMs/GenAI, RAG, and agentic application concepts (you are not expected to code, but should understand the delivery lifecycle and technical terminology).
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Experience with project management tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project, Confluence).

Good to Have Skills:

• Certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Agile/Scrum).
• Exposure to model governance, AI/ML risk, compliance, and privacy/security considerations.
• Experience managing projects involving RAG, agent frameworks, or agentic applications.
• Understanding of prompt engineering, model evaluation frameworks, and experimentation tracking.
• Experience in regulated industries (e.g., finance, healthcare) is a plus.
• Familiarity with DevOps/MLOps concepts, CI/CD pipelines for AI/ML assets.
