General Information
Position required is for a project manager production (Injector) to join our dynamic team and lead various ongoing series and development projects in BU 2WP in coordination with manufacturing and engineering teams. We are looking for candidate with strong background in resource planning, project management, stakeholder engagement, and a thorough understanding of technical standards and general standards such as ISO standards, IATF16949 etc. This role demands a proactive and self-motivated individual with exceptional communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Manage serial production projects and implement changes internally and from the customer side following Schaeffler processes.
- Adhere to project management methodologies as outlined in the Schaeffler PM rulebook during daily activities.
- Provide support for D3 industrialization projects by coordinating with the plant's cross-functional teams.
- Lead the project gate reviews and manage the end to end project life cycle.
- Control implementation of changes to Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Analyze reports and metrics to maintain process of record for the customer, reconcile data variances, and guide the identification of deviations from process of record.
- Manage the Project Capital, Expense and Resource Expenditures to stay within budget and ensure that the financial metrics are met. Also monitor the product profitability across the project lifetime and report the details to management.
- Prepare monthly project report management for management reviews.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain change records for supplier changes, internal PCN changes, and deviation requests. Support CFT in change implementation.
- Manage stakeholder expectations, setting up cadence for smooth project execution.
- Ensure open communication with internal departments and industrial engineering members to facilitate smooth project execution.
- Balance competing project priorities within budget constraints and delivery timelines.
- Serve as a backup for team members when needed, ensuring continuity of operations for new application projects.
Your Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical engineering
- PMP, Six sigma(LSSGB/LSSBB) will be added advantage
- 8-10 years of overall experience with atleast 2 - 5 years in project management
- Experience in a multinational high-tech corporation, operations, supply chain management, product management, or engineering change management
- Experience working in multicultural teams.
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects in parallel.
- In-depth understanding of Toll Gate / Stage Gate processes in Product development.
- Extensive experience in project planning & execution, stakeholder management, and cross-functional leadership.
- Exposure to manufacturing processes such as precision assembly, stamping, and machining.
- Fluent English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Project and MS office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Basics in project financials, ROI analysis (NPV, IRR, Payback period).
- Effective project risk management skills. Effective handling and implementation of Change management.
