Role Overview

The SAP Project Manager will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of SAP implementation or upgrade projects. This role ensures projects meet business objectives within defined timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Planning & Execution

  • Define project scope, objectives, timelines, and resource allocation.
  • Manage SAP projects (S/4HANA, ECC, BTP, SuccessFactors, Ariba, etc.) through full lifecycle.
  • Ensure adherence to SAP Activate methodology and best practices.

• Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the primary point of contact for business and technical teams.
  • Conduct regular status meetings and provide progress reports.
  • Manage expectations and resolve conflicts effectively.

• Risk & Quality Management

  • Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with governance and quality standards.
  • Oversee testing, cutover, and go-live activities.

• Team Coordination

  • Lead cross-functional teams including consultants, developers, and business analysts.
  • Coordinate with vendors and third-party partners.
  • Foster collaboration and maintain team productivity.

• Budget & Resource Control

  • Track project costs and ensure financial control.
  • Optimize resource utilization and manage vendor contracts.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience: 7+ years in SAP projects, with at least 3-5 years in project management.
• SAP Knowledge: Familiarity with SAP modules (S/4HANA, ECC) and cloud solutions (SAP BTP).
• Methodologies: SAP Activate, Agile, Waterfall PMP or Prince2 certification preferred.
• Leadership: Strong ability to manage teams and stakeholders.
• Tools: SAP Solution Manager, Cloud ALM, MS Project, Jira.
