Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead SAP Analytics and Planning engagements involving SAP Datasphere, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), SAC Planning, SAP BW/4HANA, SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC), and related data & analytics technologies.
The ideal candidate should possess strong project management skills combined with a good understanding of analytics, planning, data warehousing, and reporting solutions. The role involves managing end-to-end delivery, stakeholder engagement, resource planning, governance, risk management, and ensuring successful business outcomes for customers.
Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery & Governance
- Manage end-to-end delivery of SAP Analytics and Planning projects.
- Define project scope, timelines, milestones, budgets, and resource plans.
- Establish project governance and reporting mechanisms.
- Track project progress and ensure timely delivery within scope and budget.
- Identify, manage, and mitigate project risks and issues.
Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for customers and executive stakeholders.
- Facilitate requirement discussions, steering committee meetings, and status reviews.
- Manage customer expectations and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Build strong relationships with customer business and IT teams.
Resource & Team Management
- Lead cross-functional teams comprising consultants, architects, developers, and analysts.
- Coordinate offshore and onsite delivery teams.
- Conduct project planning, task allocation, and performance monitoring.
- Mentor team members and foster a collaborative work environment.
SAP Analytics & Planning Solution Oversight
- Oversee implementation projects involving:
- SAP Datasphere
- SAP Analytics Cloud (BI & Planning)
- SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC)
- SAP BW/4HANA
- SAP S/4HANA Embedded Analytics
- SAP Business Warehouse and Reporting Solutions
- Ensure adherence to SAP best practices and solution architecture standards.
- Review solution designs and implementation approaches.
Financial & Commercial Management
- Monitor project budgets, effort consumption, and profitability.
- Manage change requests and scope variations.
- Support contract management and project invoicing processes.
- Ensure effective utilization of project resources.
Quality Assurance
- Ensure delivery quality through reviews and governance checkpoints.
- Monitor testing, UAT, and deployment activities.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and lessons learned.
Presales & Business Development Support
- Support proposal preparation and effort estimations.
- Participate in customer workshops and solution presentations.
- Assist in developing delivery methodologies and accelerators.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- MBA or Project Management certification is an advantage.
Experience
- 10–15+ years of IT experience.
- 5+ years of project management experience.
- Proven experience delivering SAP Analytics and Planning projects.
- Experience managing projects involving distributed teams.
