Finance Services - Who we are

We are over 700 financial professionals who provide high-quality finance and accounting services to DHL Group. We operate the financial and accounting processes for over 140 units of Express, P&P, Group Functions, Freight, eCommerce and Supply Chain - in Germany, the Alps and beyond. Our payment factory operates for over 800 group units worldwide.

Developing and operating efficient digital solutions and manage professional projects. We offer expert consulting services and manage hybrid financial processes.

Job Purpose:

Be part of a global team redefining how finance operates at scale. As part of DHL Group's Finance Services organization, you will lead high-impact transformation initiatives—driving process excellence, SAP implementations, and digital innovation across regions.

This is not a traditional finance role. You will act as an internal consultant and project leader, shaping the future of finance processes across DHL's global network.

Your tasks:

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of finance transformation projects (OTC, PTP, RTR)
  • Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities
  • Advise finance teams on process optimization and transformation strategies
  • Creation of business cases, including complex ones if necessary
  • Drive standardization and optimization across global finance processes
  • Supporting & advising the specialist departments on process optimization, IT system conversions and digitalization options
  • Set up project governance, structure, and timelines, proactively recommend process and service improvements
  • Expert in best practices and procedures for optimal quality in own area and subject matter expert for intra- or cross-divisional teams or projects
  • Definition of quality standards
  • Very strong ability to change perspectives to identify potential new solutions, act as a subject matter expert across finance transformation topics

Your profile:

Education Level

Master Degree, preferable in (Business-) Informatics or Business Administration or equivalent qualification

Experience Level

  • 7–10 years of experience in finance transformation, project management, or consulting
  • Strong understanding of finance processes (OTC, PTP, RTR)
  • Proven experience managing cross-functional or regional projects
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Experience in delivering digitalization projects of finance processes
  • Exposure to automation or digital finance initiatives
  • High analytical and conceptual ability with attention to detail, but focusing on results
  • Experience working in a global set up, curious about culture
