Job Description

Job Title:

Project Manager – CIS (Clinical Innovation and Strategy)

Department:

Neurovascular

Location:

Gurgaon.

Reports To:

GM - Neurovascular

Job Purpose:

To develop, manage, and optimize integrated project timelines across Clinical, R&D, RA/QA, Manufacturing, and Commercial functions, ensuring accurate scheduling, milestone tracking, and alignment with product development, sales forecasts, and volume planning for medical device programs.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Timeline Creation & Development

• Build comprehensive project timelines from Generation-0 to Generation-n product lifecycle stages.

• Gather timeline inputs from Clinical, R&D, RA/QA, Manufacturing, and Commercial teams.

• Define milestone dependencies and establish critical path sequences.

• Develop detailed Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) with resource and duration planning.

2. Timeline Maintenance & Tracking

• Maintain and update project schedules based on real-time inputs from stakeholders.

• Track milestone completion and ensure accuracy of schedule data.

• Document timeline changes with rationale and impact assessment.

• Ensure consistency and data integrity across project management tools.

3. Schedule Analysis & Optimization

• Perform critical path analysis to identify risks and bottlenecks.

• Apply schedule compression techniques such as fast-tracking and crashing.

• Conduct scenario modelling for risk mitigation and contingency planning.

• Align timelines with sales forecasts and volume requirements.

4. Data Management & Reporting

• Develop integrated reports combining timeline, sales, and volume data.

• Provide data-driven insights and updates to CIS leadership.

• Support project reviews with analytical dashboards and recommendations.

• Maintain version-controlled documentation across all planning systems.

5. Cross-Functional Coordination

• Collaborate with R&D, Clinical, RA/QA, Manufacturing, Sales, and Marketing teams.

• Coordinate with project leads for timeline inputs and updates.

• Ensure alignment between product development timelines and commercial strategy.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business, Analytics, or related field.

• 4–7 years of experience in project scheduling / timeline management.

• Experience in medical devices or regulated industries preferred.

• Proven experience managing complex cross-functional project timelines.

Skills and Competencies:

• Strong expertise in project scheduling tools (MS Project or equivalent).

• Knowledge of CPM, PERT, and Agile planning methodologies.

• Advanced analytical skills for critical path and dependency mapping.

• Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.

• Ability to manage multiple complex timelines simultaneously.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Business understanding of sales cycles and volume planning.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

• 95% milestone accuracy within ±5% variance.

• 100% completeness of project schedules.

• Timeline updates within 24 hours of input.

• 90% proactive identification of schedule risks/bottlenecks.

• 100% on-time delivery of integrated timeline and reporting dashboards.
