Job Summary
You will lead coordination and technical management of Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) works, ensuring compliance with client standards and timely project delivery through effective collaboration with consultants, clients, and sub-contractors.
Responsibilities
- Liaise with consultants, clients, and sub-contractors to monitor and report on the progress of M&E works
- Prepare method statements, shop drawings, sample units, testing and commissioning (T&C) sheets, and work progress reports for M&E projects
- Design equipment systems including Air Handling Units, Computer Room Air Handling Units, Cooling Towers, Ensure contractors deliver high-quality construction work while maintaining safety practices aligned with statutory requirements
- Attend and actively contribute to project meetings including site, progress, variation, and coordination sessions
- Inspect and supervise M&E works such as concreting, pavement, drainage, compaction, concrete curing, formwork, props management, and quality and erection of precast and steel components
- Manage and provide leadership to Resident Technical Officers to maintain effective site supervision
- Coordinate with the safety team to oversee WASH and aerodrome safety management systems and implement safe working practices on site
- Verify accuracy and completeness of reports and claims related to M&E works submitted by contractors
- Verify reports and claims submitted by main and ancillary contractors to ensure validity
- Resolve queries from main contractors and coordinate onsite works to maintain project flow
Required competencies and certifications
- Bachelor Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering accredited by the Professional Engineers Board (PEB)
- Minimum 8 years of experience as a Senior Engineer or M&E Manager
