Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and qualification of laboratory products manufactured across global sites, while driving cost optimization and design standardization initiatives
  • Manage and deliver complex projects in a program management capacity as part of a cross-functional team
  • Apply strong design expertise with a solid understanding of global qualification standards and regulatory requirements
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and at or below target cost through robust engineering planning, including quality, cost, schedule, and risk management
  • Provide regular updates on project progress, risks, and mitigation plans to stakeholders
  • Apply structured problem-solving methodologies to drive effective and sustainable solutions
  • Build and strengthen technical knowledge and proficiency across product lines
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning by coordinating technical training, addressing capability gaps, and supporting the development of a strong technical pipeline
  • Collaborate effectively with sourcing, operations, quality, service, and global R&D teams, as well as external suppliers and partners
  • Perform cost-benefit analyses and validate annualized savings for assigned projects
  • Lead Value Analysis / Value Engineering (VAVE) initiatives to identify and implement cost reduction opportunities while maintaining product quality and performance
  • Partner with Regulatory Affairs teams to ensure compliance and secure required product approvals
  • Demonstrate a strong track record of delivering measurable business impact.

Skills & Proficiencies

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5-8+ years of relevant experience, including product cost optimization and VAVE project execution
  • Proven experience leading end-to-end complex projects, with a minimum of 5 full lifecycle project executions in a project leader role
  • Strong expertise in stage-gate or technical review processes
  • Good understanding of regulatory requirements, certifications, and global engineering standards
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking capabilities
  • High attention to detail, accountability, and ownership mindset
  • Ability to think creatively and drive innovative solutions
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • VAVE and/or PMP certification
  • Experience with PLM systems (e.g., Teamcenter) and CAD tools such as UG/NX, along with working knowledge of simulation tools like Ansys
