Job Description

Job Responsibilities
  1. Lead and oversee construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring successful delivery within scope, budget, and timeline.
  2. Develop and manage project schedules, resources, and work plans to achieve project objectives and milestones.
  3. Monitor project costs, prepare budget forecasts, and implement cost-control measures to maintain financial performance.
  4. Act as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and other project stakeholders.
  5. Ensure all construction activities comply with relevant health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
  6. Supervise and provide leadership to site teams, fostering a productive and high-performing work environment.
  7. Conduct regular site visits, progress reviews, and quality inspections to ensure work is carried out according to specifications and standards.
  8. Maintain accurate project records, reports, contracts, and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
  9. Proactively identify project risks, address challenges, and implement effective solutions to minimize disruptions.
  10. Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and consultants to ensure design intent and technical requirements are properly executed.

Requirements
  1. Minimum 10 years of project management experience within the construction industry, preferably managing projects in Malaysia.
  2. Demonstrated success in delivering construction projects on schedule, within budget, and to required quality standards.
  3. Strong understanding of construction methodologies, building materials, local regulations, and safety practices.
  4. Proficient in Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office Suite.
  5. Strong leadership capabilities with experience managing multidisciplinary teams and site personnel.
  6. Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  7. Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  8. Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Building, or a related discipline.
  9. Good knowledge of construction contracts, tendering procedures, procurement, and contract administration.

Preferred Experience
  • Experience managing commercial, industrial, residential, or mixed-development projects.
  • Familiarity with project planning, contract management, and construction cost control.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
