Job Description: Project Manager for AI Programs

About the Role
BIG Language Solutions is transitioning from a human-only delivery model to an AI-first organization, with multiple concurrent AI initiatives including Virtual Interpreters (VI), QA Scoring for Interpretation Calls, AI Voice Over, Real-Time Interpretation APIs, and Intelligent Business Operations (IBO) powered by agentic AI.
We are seeking a Project Manager for AI Programs who can drive execution excellence, ensure on-time delivery, and coordinate cross-functional teams across complex AI-driven projects. This role requires both strong program management capabilities and hands-on technical understanding, including Python proficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Program & Project Management
- Own end-to-end delivery of multiple AI projects, ensuring timelines, scope, and quality targets are met
- Establish and maintain project plans, milestones, risk registers, and reporting dashboards
- Drive execution efficiency across parallel workstreams and ensure alignment with business goals
AI Project Oversight
Manage and coordinate delivery across:
- Virtual Interpreter (VI)
- Data annotation workflows and pipeline scaling
- Product feature development and iteration cycles
- Manage the AI-powered QA Scoring initiative for interpretation calls
- AI Voice Over & Video Localization
- Coordination of transcription → MT → MTPE → voice-over pipelines
- Real-Time Interpretation APIs
- Support development and deployment timelines for live interpretation systems
- Intelligent Business Operations (IBO)
- Collaborate on agentic AI initiatives to improve operational efficiency
Data & Annotation Management
- Oversee data annotation programs, including team coordination, quality assurance, and throughput optimization
- Ensure necessary data annotation efficiency and throughput
Stakeholder Communication
- Act as the primary liaison between AI/Engineering, Product, and Operations teams
- Provide clear, structured updates to leadership and stakeholders
- Translate technical progress into business impact
Process & Delivery Excellence
- Identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements
- Drive agile practices (Scrum/Kanban) across teams
- Ensure readiness for key go-live milestones and product launches
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in project or program management, preferably in AI/ML or technology-driven environments
- Strong Python coding skills (ability to understand, review, and coordinate technical workstreams)
- Proven experience managing cross-functional, complex technical projects
- Familiarity with AI/ML workflows, including data annotation, model training, and evaluation
- Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools (Jira, Asana, etc.)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in language services, localization, or interpretation technologies
- Exposure to speech AI, NLP, or real-time systems
- Experience working with data pipelines and annotation platforms
- Understanding of agentic AI systems or automation frameworks
