Role PurposeTo lead and execute EPC projects for Pneumatic Material Handling Systems (Powder & Granule Handling) from order receipt to final commissioning, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and in compliance with customer technical specifications, ITPs, and QAPs.
This role requires strong technical understanding of pneumatic conveying design principles combined with execution capability across engineering, procurement, fabrication, installation, and commissioning.
Key Responsibilities1 Project Execution & Ownership
- Take complete ownership of EPC projects from handover by Sales to final commissioning and handover.
- Prepare detailed project schedules (MSP/Excel-based planning).
- Monitor progress across engineering, procurement, fabrication, and site execution.
- Ensure timely milestone achievement as per contract.
2 Technical Understanding & Engineering Coordination
- Understand and review:
- Pneumatic conveying system design concepts (pressure/ vacuum systems, dense phase/lean phase)
- Blower selection logic
- Pipeline routing and pressure drop concepts
- Air/material ratio fundamentals
- Review and guide preparation of:
- GA drawings (AutoCAD)
- P&ID
- Fabrication drawings
- Bill of Materials
- Coordinate closely with Design & Application team.
Mandatory:
Working knowledge of AutoCAD (ability to read & markup drawings)
Strong understanding of Pneumatic Conveying principles
3 Quality Control & Documentation
- Ensure compliance with:
- Customer ITP (Inspection & Test Plan)
- QAP (Quality Assurance Plan)
- Contract technical specifications
- Coordinate inspections (internal & customer stage inspections).
- Ensure proper documentation:
- Material Test Certificates
- Inspection reports
- FAT protocols
- Site test records
- Close punch points effectively.
4 Vendor & Procurement Coordination
- Track long-lead items (blowers, rotary valves, diverters, filters).
- Coordinate fabrication vendors.
- Ensure adherence to approved drawings.
- Monitor quality at vendor works when required.
5 Site Execution & Commissioning
- Coordinate site installation teams.
- Monitor:
- Erection quality
- Alignment of pipelines
- Supports & structural integrity
- Ensure commissioning as per design parameters.
- Troubleshoot basic pneumatic conveying issues during startup.
6 Commercial & Cost Control
- Monitor project budget vs actual cost.
- Control variation orders.
- Track change management.
- Ensure project margin protection.
7 Customer Communication
- Be the single point of contact for project execution.
- Conduct project review meetings.
- Escalate technical risks early.
- Maintain professional documentation trail.
Required Skills & CompetenciesTechnical Skills
- Strong knowledge of Pneumatic Conveying Systems (Powder & Granule handling).

- Rotary airlocks
- Diverter valves
- Cyclones / Filters
- Dense & Lean phase conveying
- Ability to interpret P&IDs and fabrication drawings.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Knowledge of EPC project structure and documentation.

Educational Qualification- B.E./B.Tech Mechanical Engineering (Preferred)
- Diploma with strong practical EPC exposure can be considered.
