Role Overview
We are looking for a highly technical Project Manager to lead end-to-end delivery of our mobile applications (Android/iOS) and PHP backend systems. This role is not limited to task tracking — we need someone who deeply understands mobile architecture, API integrations, backend logic, performance optimization, and production releases.
You will work closely with mobile developers, backend engineers, designers, QA, and product teams to ensure scalable, stable, and high-performance systems.
Key Responsibilities1. Technical Ownership
- Understand and review Android/iOS architecture (MVVM, Coroutines, Media3, API layers, etc.)
- Oversee PHP backend (Laravel or similar framework), database design, API structure
- Review API contracts between mobile and backend teams
- Identify technical risks before they become production issues
- Ensure clean architecture and scalable implementations
2. Project & Delivery Management
- Plan sprint cycles and release timelines
- Break down features into technical tasks with clear dependencies
- Track development progress with technical clarity
- Ensure timely app store submissions and backend deployments
- Manage hotfix releases and production incidents
3. Backend & API Oversight
- Monitor API performance, response times, and error rates
- Coordinate database optimizations and query improvements
- Ensure proper versioning of APIs
- Validate security practices (auth tokens, OAuth, data protection)
4. Mobile App Release Management
- Manage Play Store & App Store releases
- Ensure SDK upgrades (target SDK updates, deprecated API replacements)
- Coordinate testing cycles and bug fixes
- Review crash reports and analytics
5. Quality & Performance
- Define code review standards
- Ensure performance optimization (memory, network, caching)
- Improve CI/CD processes
- Maintain technical documentation
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years experience managing mobile and backend projects
- Strong understanding of:
- Android (Kotlin, MVVM, Coroutines, Media3)
- iOS fundamentals
- PHP backend (Laravel preferred)
- REST APIs & JSON
- MySQL / database optimization
- Experience with:
- Git workflows
- CI/CD pipelines
- Crash analytics (Firebase, etc.)
- Performance monitoring
- Ability to read and understand code (not just manage tickets)
- Experience handling production issues and scaling systems
AI Tools & Automation
- Strong hands-on experience using AI tools in daily project management and technical workflows
- Ability to use AI tools for requirement breakdown, sprint planning, documentation, QA planning, release notes, and technical analysis
- Experience with tools like ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Gemini, or similar AI-assisted development tools
- Ability to guide developers and QA teams on using AI effectively without compromising code quality or security
- Comfortable creating AI-based workflows for faster debugging, test case creation, code review support, and productivity improvement
- Should be able to evaluate how much the team is using AI tools and improve adoption across development, QA, product, and support teams
