About the Role

The Project Manager will plan, execute, and deliver projects within the Radar, EW & Communications department. Based in Hyderabad or Bangalore and reporting to the Delivery head, this role leads cross-functional teams of 4–12 members (Product Leads, Developers, SMEs) to deliver projects on time, within scope, and aligned to technical and business objectives. Success in this role is measured by delivery quality, schedule adherence, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Delivery Ownership — Own end-to-end project outcomes including scope, schedule, budget, and quality. Drive projects to closure in collaboration with the Delivery Team, ensuring milestones are hit on time and within budget.
• Process & Quality — Enforce project management methodologies, standards, and best practices across the project lifecycle. Continuously improve execution efficiency and output quality.
• Planning & Tracking — Build comprehensive project plans (tasks, timelines, resources, milestones) and maintain real-time visibility through tracking tools, status reports, and risk reviews.
• Customer Engagement — Serve as the primary point of contact for the customer. Hold weekly cadence calls, manage expectations, and proactively surface and resolve issues to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Team Leadership — Lead, motivate, and mentor the project team. Allocate work based on strengths and availability, and develop team capability through coaching and training.
• Documentation — Define and govern the project documentation plan to ensure deliverables meet customer and internal quality standards.
• Budget Control — Monitor expenses and resource utilization to keep the project within approved budget without compromising delivery quality.
• Recruitment Support — Partner with HR to define roles, interview candidates, and onboard the right talent into the project team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Electronics & Communications preferred).
• 3–4 years minimum experience managing projects in the Defence segment.
• Working knowledge of Radar, EW, or Communications systems preferred.
• Strong stakeholder management, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
