About the Role

Century Extrusions is undertaking a capacity expansion programme and is hiring two Project Managers (Greenfield & Brownfield) to independently lead projects from detailed engineering through commissioning and handover.

Key Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end project execution from concept through commissioning and handover to operations.
Develop and maintain project execution plans covering timelines, resource allocation, budgeting, and risk assessment.
Manage EPC contractors, OEM equipment suppliers, and consultants across all project packages.
Coordinate and supervise civil construction, equipment installation, utility setup, and commissioning activities.
Handle procurement and vendor negotiations for extrusion presses, handling systems, furnaces, and ancillary equipment.
Liaise with government authorities to secure statutory clearances, permits, land and regulatory approvals.
Ensure adherence to quality, safety, and environmental standards throughout project lifecycle.
Maintain detailed project documentation including progress reports, MIS dashboards, and budget tracking.
Implement project management systems and reporting frameworks.
Facilitate smooth handover to operations teams post-commissioning.

Additional for Greenfield:

Manage site development from land preparation, civil works, and infrastructure setup for a new manufacturing facility.
Establish site utilities: power, water, compressed air, gas supply, and drainage systems.
Coordinate with state industrial development authorities for incentives, land handover, and compliance.
Build and manage the on-site project team from scratch.

Additional for Brownfield:

Execute expansion within a live, operating plant with minimal disruption to ongoing production.
Plan and coordinate shutdowns, tie-ins, and utility augmentation with existing plant operations.
Enforce strict safety protocols (PTW, LOTO) for contractor activities in an operating environment.
Manage civil modifications, foundation work, and structural reinforcements alongside running production lines.

Key Requirements

B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical / Electrical / Industrial / Metallurgical / Civil Engineering (Master's preferred).
10+ years of experience in the aluminium extrusion or non-ferrous metals industry.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience leading greenfield or brownfield industrial projects.
Strong knowledge of EPC project management and vendor development.
Proficiency in MS Project / Primavera or equivalent scheduling tools.
Strong leadership, stakeholder coordination, and multi-agency management skills.
Ability to manage multi-site responsibilities across India.
Willingness to be based on-site and travel as required.

Desirable Skills

Experience in commissioning high-tonnage extrusion presses (2000T+).
PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification.
Knowledge of aluminium cast house operations, homogenizing, heat treatment, and finishing lines (anodizing / powder coating).
Familiarity with automation, energy efficiency, and sustainability practices in metals manufacturing.
Experience working in East / North India industrial zones.
