About the Organization 

Antahin Abha Foundation is a non-profit organization working toward improving foundational learning, early childhood education, student well-being, and community engagement through innovative educational programs and last-mile implementation support. Through the NRich ECCE (Early Childhood Care and Education) Model, the organization focuses on strengthening classroom practices, activity-based learning, teacher capacity building, and continuous mentoring support for educators and partner institutions. 

 

As the organization scales the ECCE program across the low resource communities across West Bengal it is looking to hire a Senior Project Manager to support proactive planning — including task estimation, dependency management, risk mitigation, and structured decision-making.  

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

Planning & Delivery 

  • Own the programme calendar and master project plan across all workstreams 
  • Break down goals into actionable tasks with clear owners, timelines, and milestones 
  • Facilitate sprint or work-cycle planning sessions with programme and field teams 
  • Define and maintain all necessary quality management documentation for the Project 
  • Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals 

 

Risk & Dependency Management 

  • Identify inter-team dependencies before they become blockers 
  • Track task completion, flag delays early, and replan proactively 
  • Conduct regular risk reviews with leads and flag critical issues promptly. Maintain a live risk register. 
  • Resolve operational blockers independently; escalate strategic ones with full context and a recommended path forward 

 

Cross-Team Coordination 

  • Serve as the primary coordination point between programme and field teams 
  • Chair weekly coordination meetings; track actions to closure 
  • Ensure information flows clearly and consistently across teams 
  • Mediate conflicting priorities and facilitate alignment 

 

Decision-Making & Escalation 

  • Make day-to-day operational decisions confidently and in a timely manner 
  • Use structured thinking (data, context, options) before escalating to leadership 
  • Know when a decision needs senior input and come prepared with recommendations 
  • Document key decisions and rationale for organisational learning 

 

Capability Building 

  • Coach project team on estimation, planning, and risk identification 
  • Build lightweight planning tools and templates suited to team maturity 
  • Encourage a culture of planning ahead rather than responding to crises 

 

Reporting & Communication 

  • Prepare concise progress reports for the Programme Lead and organisational leadership 
  • Drive engagement/communication plans to relevant stakeholders enabling implementation of change initiatives  
  • Manage stakeholder expectations on timelines, scope, and delivery 

 

QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES 

 

Essential Qualifications 

  • MBA or Bachelor's degree in engineering or BBA or related field 
  • 5–8 years in project or programme management, preferably in the development, education, or social sector 
  • Strong command of project management tools (e.g. Asana, Trello, Notion, or equivalent) 
  • Experience running structured risk and dependency processes 
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification is an advantage 
  • Strong interpersonal skills and adept at building relationships with different stakeholders 
  • Good knowledge and handling of project and program management methodology and techniques 
  • Good knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation procedures 
  • Able to handle crisis and stressful situation and quick decision-making ability 

 

Key Competencies & Experiences 

  • Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Planner  
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Bangla and English 
  • Demonstrated experience managing cross-functional or multi-site teams 
  • Proven track record of delivering complex projects on time 
  • Structured, systems-level thinker who can anticipate rather than react 
  • Strong communicator across all levels of an organization 
  • Growth mindset; invests in others development, not just task delivery
