Job Description
Your Role and Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of data projects (Data Engineering, BI, Analytics, Cloud Data Platforms).
- Own project planning, scope, timelines, cost, and quality.
- Actively manage data pipelines, reporting, analytics, and platform modernization initiatives.
- Work hands-on with teams on:
- Requirement analysis and solution planning
- Sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release management
- Coordinate across cross-functional teams (Engineering, QA, DevOps, Business, Vendors)
- Track and report project KPIs, risks, dependencies, and mitigation plans
- Ensure adherence to Agile / Scrum / Hybrid delivery models
- Drive stakeholder communication, status reporting, and governance reviews
- Ensure data quality, security, compliance, and best practices are followed
- Support pre-sales, estimations, and solution discussions when required
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 8–12 years of experience in IT project management
- 5+ years managing data-centric projects
- Strong understanding of:
- Data Warehousing, ETL/ELT, Data Lakes, BI & Analytics (MSBI, Tableau, Qlik)
- Cloud data platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP – any)
- Hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Ability to read and understand technical designs, data flows, and architecture
- Strong command of project management tools (JIRA, MS Project, Azure DevOps, etc.)
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Proven experience delivering projects with tight timelines and multiple dependencies
Good to Have
- PMP / Prince2 / Agile certifications
- Experience managing large-scale data transformation programs
- Exposure to AI/ML, Advanced Analytics
- Client-facing experience in global delivery models
