About the Role

We are looking for a Project Management Trainee with a Mechanical Engineering background who is eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced product design environment.

This role is well-suited for individuals who want to gain a clear understanding of how product design projects are carried out from initial concept through to manufacturing, while assisting project managers and collaborating with cross-functional teams. 

What You'll Be Doing

Project Coordination & Support

• Assist Project Managers in planning and tracking product design projects
• Support in maintaining project timelines, schedules, and task trackers
• Follow up with internal teams to ensure timely completion of deliverables

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Coordinate with Industrial Designers, Mechanical Engineers, Electronics teams, and Prototyping units
• Help ensure smooth communication between teams

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain project documentation, MOMs (Minutes of Meeting), and reports
• Track project progress and update status dashboards

Technical Understanding

• Gain exposure to product development processes, CAD workflows, and prototyping stages
• Assist in basic technical coordination related to mechanical components and assemblies

Client & Internal Communication

• Support in preparing presentations and reports for client updates
• Participate in internal meetings and discussions

Process Learning & Improvement

• Learn project management tools (MS Project, Jira, etc.)
• Identify gaps and support process improvements

Who You Are

• Bachelor's degree (or final year) in Mechanical Engineering (mandatory)
• Strong interest in project management + product development
• Basic understanding of mechanical design, manufacturing processes, or CAD
• Good communication and coordination skills
• Organized, detail-oriented, and proactive
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and follow up effectively

Good to Have

• Exposure to tools like SolidWorks, Fusion 360, AutoCAD
• Basic knowledge of project management tools (Excel, Jira, MS Project)
• Internship/project experience in product design or engineering
