Project Management Intern – Home Styling & Interiors

About Plynth
Plynth is an AI-powered home styling platform helping homeowners transform their spaces through curated design, products, and professional styling services.
We are looking for a Project Management Intern to help us execute home styling projects in Hyderabad. You will work closely with customers, interior stylists, vendors, contractors, and the Plynth team to take projects from design approval through final execution.
This is a high-ownership, execution-focused role. You will be responsible for making sure the right people do the right things at the right time—and that projects are delivered on schedule and to the expected quality.
What You'll Do
End-to-End Project Management
- Manage home styling projects from kickoff to completion.
- Create and maintain project plans, timelines, and execution schedules.
- Track milestones, dependencies, deliveries, installations, and pending activities.
- Follow up proactively with vendors and internal teams to ensure deadlines are met.
- Identify risks and delays early and take corrective action.
- Coordinate multiple activities and vendors simultaneously.
- Maintain project trackers and provide regular status updates.
Vendor Identification & Management
- Identify the right vendors for each project based on quality, pricing, availability, and timelines.
- Build and maintain Plynth's network of reliable Hyderabad vendors.
- Source vendors for furniture, décor, carpentry, painting, electrical, installation, and other project requirements.
- Collect and compare quotations.
- Negotiate pricing, delivery timelines, and terms.
- Coordinate vendor schedules and deliverables.
- Ensure vendors meet agreed quality and timeline expectations.
- Build strong relationships with high-performing vendors.
- Resolve vendor issues quickly.
On-Site Coordination
- Visit customer homes and coordinate on-site execution.
- Coordinate deliveries, installations, carpentry, painting, electrical work, and other activities.
- Ensure work is executed according to the approved design and specifications.
- Take measurements, photographs, and execution updates when required.
- Identify quality and execution issues and ensure they are resolved.
- Coordinate multiple vendors working at the same site.
Customer Communication
- Act as the project coordinator for customers during execution.
- Provide clear and regular project updates.
- Communicate upcoming activities, timelines, and dependencies.
- Set realistic expectations with customers.
- Proactively communicate delays or changes.
- Resolve customer concerns quickly and professionally.
- Ensure customers always know what is happening, what happens next, and when it will be completed.
Project Tracking & Reporting
Maintain accurate project trackers covering:
- Project milestones
- Vendor assignments
- Quotations and negotiated prices
- Orders and deliveries
- Installation schedules
- Pending activities
- Dependencies
- Customer approvals
- Risks and delays
- Project completion status

Required Background
- Civil Engineering

- Related engineering or design disciplines
- Internship or experience in construction, interiors, real estate, architecture, or project management
- Understanding of basic construction and interior execution
- Knowledge of materials, furniture, carpentry, electrical, painting, etc.
- Experience dealing with vendors or contractors
- Knowledge of Hyderabad's local vendor ecosystem
- Ability to read basic architectural/interior drawings
