This Position reports to:
Principal Project EngineerYour role and responsibilities:
In this role, you will have the opportunity to act as a design authority for an engineering discipline with low to medium complexity. Each day, you will complete assignments on small projects or portions of larger projects in a cost-effective manner. You will also showcase your expertise by applying basic design thinking/design for excellence concepts in projects.

This role is contributing to the Process Automation business for Process Industries division based inBangalore, India.
You will be mainly accountable for:
Review engineering scope for projects from RFPs, tender document and create value added solutions.
Take responsibility of basic and detail electrical engineering for the projects pertaining to Mining, Cement, Metals & Pulp & Paper such as preparation of single line diagram, protection and metering philosophy, load list segregation, design basis.
Deliver advanced application engineering for an Electrical Substation automation domain as per customer functional specification.
Verify and Test Substation automation control applications developed as per ABB standard.
Preparation of Substation automation functional scope for a process plant.
Preparation of substation automation FAT and SAT procedures.
Participate in providing electrical automation solutions for technical bidding, consultancy, and customer meetings.
Provide solutions for application engineering development by understanding electrical control drawings and loops.
Qualifications for the role
8-13 years of relevant work experience in electric projects pertaining in Process industries preferable. (Metals , P&P, Mining and Cement).
Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in engineering and commissioning of Power Management Systems (PMS), covering functionalities such as primary equipment monitoring and control, load shedding, load sharing, and synchronization.
Hands-on experience in designing substation network architecture of control systems and control philosophy for process/power plants.
Working knowledge of utility communication protocols like IEC 61850, OPC, Modbus, DNP3, IEC 101/104, TCP/IP, Prefab's, Profinet, Fieldbus, SPA, convergence of OT/IT, cybersecurity, etc.
Hands-on experience with application engineering tools for any DCS. Hands-on experience in configuring controllers, protocol gateways, and data concentrators on various communication protocols. Experience working with various manufacturer IEDs on IEC 61850 protocol, creating IEC, ICD, CID, and SCD files.
Knowledge on IEDs, relay programming, troubleshooting Substation scada with IEC 61850 communication knowledge , IED devices configuration.
Knowledge on 800XA is added attribute.
