Job Title: Project Lead – Commissioning
Job Description
The Project Lead – Commissioning oversees end-to-end commissioning activities for complex projects, ensuring systems are implemented, tested, and handed over successfully while leveraging AWS and related technologies. This role coordinates technical teams, manages timelines, and ensures that all commissioning work meets quality, safety, and performance standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate all commissioning activities across assigned projects from planning through final handover.
- Develop and maintain commissioning plans, schedules, and checklists to ensure systematic and timely execution of tasks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define commissioning requirements, scope, and acceptance criteria.
- Oversee testing, validation, and verification of systems and components to confirm they meet design and performance specifications.
- Utilize AWS and related tools to support commissioning activities, documentation, monitoring, and reporting.
- Identify, track, and resolve technical issues that arise during commissioning, escalating risks when necessary.
- Prepare clear documentation, including test reports, commissioning logs, and handover packages.
- Communicate project status, progress, and risks to stakeholders and ensure alignment with project objectives.
- Support continuous improvement by capturing lessons learned and recommending enhancements to commissioning processes.
Essential Skills
- Proven experience leading commissioning activities for technical or infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of commissioning processes, testing methodologies, and system handover procedures.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services relevant to commissioning, monitoring, or deployment workflows.
- Ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple commissioning tasks and priorities simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues during commissioning.
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with technical teams and stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality, safety, and compliance standards.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Qualification related to project leadership in commissioning environments.
- Experience documenting commissioning activities, including test scripts, results, and final reports.
- Familiarity with industry best practices for commissioning and system validation.
- Ability to work with cloud-based tools and platforms beyond AWS to support project delivery.
Work Environment
The role operates in a project-driven environment where you lead commissioning efforts across technical systems, often collaborating with distributed teams and leveraging AWS-based tools and platforms.
