Hiring: Project Finance Associate

Location: Bangalore (MG Road)

Our client is a well-established, 50+ year-old diversified business group with billion-USD net assets. The group has been actively involved in the renewable energy sector for over two decades, with a strong footprint across wind, solar, and hydro power assets in India.

Role Overview

The Project Finance Associate will play a key role in project financing, fund-raising, and financial modelling for renewable and infrastructure assets. This role offers exposure to complex transactions, lender interactions, and cross-functional collaboration within a fast-growing clean energy platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build, update, and maintain detailed project finance models, including sensitivity analyses and deal documentation.
  • Lead project financing and fund-raising initiatives for Solar PV, Wind, Hydro, and emerging assets such as EV infrastructure.
  • Prepare investor presentations, financial memoranda, and internal approval notes.
  • Submit financing proposals to lenders and coordinate end-to-end project appraisal processes.
  • Manage lender-led due diligence, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support negotiation and execution of financing and security documentation.
  • Ensure timely submission of compliance reports, covenant reporting, and lender updates.
  • Work closely with sales, business development, engineering, operations, manufacturing, and corporate finance teams.
  • Conduct market, regulatory, and financing structure research on an ongoing basis.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Strong understanding of the power, renewable energy, and infrastructure sectors (India preferred).
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in project finance modelling and execution of debt financing for infrastructure or renewables.
  • Strong academic credentials from a reputed college/university.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to present complex financial concepts clearly.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with investors, lenders, engineers, and operations teams.
  • Strong project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • High integrity, sound judgment, and negotiation capability.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and a positive can-do attitude with resilience and adaptability.
