About The Role

The Heavy Duty Services Complex Gas OTR team at GE Vernova is seeking a highly skilled Complex Gas Upgrades Senior Requisition Engineer. This pivotal role involves overseeing the technical coordination of conversions, modifications, and uprates on GE's installed fleet of gas turbines and associated plant equipment globally. The successful candidate will manage projects from the point of order conversion through installation, ensuring technical excellence, timely delivery, and customer satisfaction. This role requires a proactive approach to project management, cross-functional collaboration, and technical support, with responsibilities spanning engineering definition, parts ordering, BOM/DWG approval, and resolution of technical issues during project execution.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, controls engineering, or a related field, with a minimum of 8 years of engineering or field experience in power generation, specifically with gas turbines and combined-cycle plants. Demonstrated experience in project engineering, including schedule management, scope control, cost, and risk management, is essential. The candidate should be proficient in interpreting and producing engineering documentation such as P&IDs, one-line diagrams, mechanical drawings, specifications, and BOMs. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally to support project and site activities is required, along with excellent communication and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical coordination for conversions, modifications, including unit relocations and uprates on in-service Gas Turbine Power Trains and their BOP Mechanical/Electrical systems.
• Offer comprehensive support for proposals and projects from inquiry to remittance, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and internal standards.
• Develop and monitor detailed engineering project schedules to meet milestones established by Project Management, GE Field Service, and customers.
• Communicate project scope, progress, and technical requirements effectively to Engineering, Manufacturing, Sourcing, Field Service, and Customer teams.
• Provide technical support during project execution and installation, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring adherence to quality standards.
• Deliver technical presentations to customers and internal stakeholders, clearly articulating project details and solutions.
• Maintain awareness of ongoing efforts within the team to ensure technical quality, resource optimization, and timely project completion.
• Mentor and coach junior team members to promote professional growth and technical excellence within the global Requisition Engineering team.
• Ensure all project objectives are met within scope, schedule, and budget constraints, demonstrating accountability and ownership.
