Project Engineer - Switchgears

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate end-to-end execution of switchgear projects (Low Voltage, Medium Voltage, High Voltage).
• Study technical specifications, single line diagrams (SLDs), GA drawings, and ensure compliance with customer and IEC/IS standards.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and internal teams (design, procurement, production, QA/QC) to meet project timelines.
• Prepare project schedules, material submittals, and progress reports.
• Supervise switchgear assembly, FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing), and SAT (Site Acceptance Testing).
• Ensure timely procurement and delivery of project materials and components (VCBs, ACBs, protection relays, CTs, PTs, etc.).
• Conduct site coordination for installation, cable termination, testing, and commissioning of switchgears.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical or on-site issues related to protection schemes or interlocking.
• Ensure adherence to electrical safety standards and project-specific quality norms.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• 27 years of experience in project execution or design of LV/MV/HV switchgear panels.
• Hands-on knowledge of switchgear components and protection devices.

Preferred Skills:

• Strong understanding of IEC, IS, or IEEE standards.
• Familiarity with protection relays (e.g., ABB, Siemens, Schneider, GE).
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical, MS Project/Primavera, and testing tools (megger, primary/secondary injection kits).
• Good communication and client-facing skills.
• Ability to work independently at project sites or client locations.
