About the Role

We are looking for a Project Engineer to join our Projects Department. The candidate will be responsible for coordinating project activities from planning and execution to documentation, vendor coordination, site support, and timely project completion.

The ideal candidate should have experience in project execution/manufacturing, preferably in the steel processing, heavy engineering, or industrial equipment manufacturing industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand and review technical and commercial proposals, specifications, drawings, and project requirements.
• Prepare and maintain project schedules, timelines, and execution plans.
• Monitor project progress and ensure activities are completed as per the planned schedule.
• Maintain project status reports, records, trackers, and documentation.
• Coordinate effectively with Design, Production, Purchase, Quality, Stores, Finance, and other internal departments.
• Follow up with internal teams to ensure timely completion of project-related activities.
• Prepare and float enquiries/RFQs for major bought-out items and coordinate with vendors.
• Coordinate with vendors for technical specifications, quotations, delivery schedules, and project requirements.
• Visit production units, vendors, and customer sites whenever required for project coordination.
• Provide site support and coordination during installation, commissioning, and project execution.
• Coordinate with site teams, vendors, and customers to resolve project-related issues.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, reports, MOMs, correspondence, and records.
• Track material requirements, procurement status, manufacturing progress, dispatch, installation, and commissioning activities.
• Identify project delays or issues and communicate them to the concerned stakeholders.
• Ensure proper inter-departmental communication, follow-up, and coordination throughout the project lifecycle.
• Travel to manufacturing plants, vendor locations, and customer sites as required.

Required Skills & Knowledge

• Strong understanding of project planning and execution.
• Good knowledge of mechanical engineering and industrial equipment.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Good working knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and project management tools/software will be an advantage.
• Strong vendor coordination and follow-up skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong documentation and reporting skills.
• Ability to manage multiple activities and meet project deadlines.
• Willingness to travel to plants, vendors, and customer sites.

Preferred Industry Experience

Candidates with experience in any of the following industries will be preferred:

• Steel Processing / Steel Manufacturing
• Heavy Engineering
• Industrial Equipment Manufacturing
• Rolling Mill / Steel Plant Equipment
• Engineering Projects
• Plant & Machinery Manufacturing
• EPC / Project Execution

Educational Qualification

B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution.

Experience

2–4 years of relevant experience in project execution, project coordination, manufacturing, or industrial equipment projects.

Preferred Candidate Location

Delhi/NCR candidates will be preferred.

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are looking for someone who is technically sound, proactive, organized, and strong in coordination and follow-up. The candidate should be comfortable working with multiple departments, vendors, production teams, and site teams and should be willing to travel whenever required for project execution.
