To support the Project Delivery Manager and broader project team by coordinating technical aspects of capital projects, ensuring alignment of designs, engineering standards, and execution plans with project objectives and company governance frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Own technical quality: Ensure engineering documentation, specifications, and deliverables meet project standards and regulatory requirements, in coordination with the Technical Centre of Excellence (TCE);
• Drive engineering schedule and execution: Build and track engineering schedules, flag slippages early, and provide hands-on technical support to site teams during construction and commissioning;
• Govern scope changes: Manage design and scope changes through the formal governance process — documenting modifications, assessing impact on cost/schedule, and securing approvals before they hit execution;
• Identify and mitigate technical risks: Surface engineering risks early, log them in the Project Risk Register, and drive mitigation actions to protect project timelines and budgets.
• Embed HSE into design and execution: Partner with the HSE team to ensure health, safety, and environmental requirements are built into technical deliverables from the design stage onward — not bolted on later;
• Coordinate across internal functions: Align engineering activities with BD, SPF, Procurement, and HSE teams to ensure technical decisions support broader project objectives.
• Manage external technical interfaces: Oversee engineering input from vendors and contractors — resolving technical queries, enforcing specification compliance, and holding them to delivery commitments;
• Make and recommend technical decisions: Empowered to make engineering calls within project scope and to advise the Project Manager on technical decisions that materially affect cost, schedule, or scope.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of engineering drawings & specifications;
• Knowledge of ASME/API/IEC & other international codes;
• Familiarity with Primavera/MS Projects;
• Should have good knowledge of Safety studies during Project execution;
• Experience in Technical bid evaluation and vendor management;
• Good knowledge of site execution, site engineering support, Interfaces across various discipline & commissioning preferred.
