Job Summary
We are looking for a responsible and technically skilled Project Engineer to manage and execute HVAC projects from planning through completion. The candidate will be responsible for site execution, coordination with clients and contractors, manpower management, material planning, quality control, documentation, and timely project completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Planning & Execution
- Plan and execute HVAC projects as per approved drawings, specifications, and timelines.
- Monitor day-to-day site activities and ensure smooth project execution.
- Ensure projects are completed within the approved schedule and budget.
- Site Supervision
- Supervise installation, testing, commissioning, and handover activities.
- Ensure work is carried out as per approved drawings and technical specifications.
- Monitor site progress and resolve technical issues.
- Manpower Management
- Coordinate technicians, supervisors, subcontractors, and other site personnel.
- Allocate work according to project requirements.
- Monitor productivity and ensure proper utilization of manpower.
- Material Planning & Coordination
- Prepare material requirements based on project schedules.
- Coordinate with Purchase/Store departments for timely material availability.
- Monitor material consumption and prevent unnecessary wastage.
- Client & Consultant Coordination
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, architects, contractors, and other agencies.
- Attend site meetings and discuss project progress and technical matters.
- Maintain professional communication with all stakeholders.
- Drawing & Technical Coordination
- Review HVAC drawings, layouts, shop drawings, and technical specifications.
- Coordinate with the design team for drawing revisions and technical clarifications.
- Ensure execution is in accordance with approved drawings.
- Quality & Safety
- Ensure installation work meets required quality standards.
- Conduct inspections and coordinate testing and commissioning.
- Ensure compliance with site safety procedures and company policies.
- Project Documentation
- Maintain daily/weekly project progress reports.
- Prepare measurement sheets, material records, inspection reports, and other project documents.
- Maintain proper records for billing and project handover.
- Billing & Cost Control
- Support preparation and verification of client/subcontractor measurements and bills.
- Monitor project expenses and material usage.
- Identify potential cost overruns and report them to management.
- Testing, Commissioning & Handover
- Coordinate testing and commissioning of HVAC systems.
- Ensure snag points are identified and closed within the required timeline.
- Coordinate preparation of handover documents and obtain client sign-off.
Required Skills
- Good knowledge of HVAC systems and installation practices.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of HVAC equipment, ducting, piping, insulation, electrical/control systems, etc.
- Good project coordination and site management skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple activities and meet deadlines.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office and project-related software.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability.

Eligibility
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering discipline.
- Relevant experience in HVAC/project execution preferred.
- Candidates with strong site execution and project coordination experience will be preferred.
Working Conditions
The role will primarily involve project/site-based work and may require travel to different project locations depending on business requirements.
