Job description
Technical management of site systems including maintenance, repairs and inspections of assigned areas. Delivery of maintenance projects for new and modified facilities. Analysis of operations data to identify, develop and implement continuous improvement resulting in increased quality, efficiency and lower operating costs. Champion Safety, Security, Health, and Environment (SSHE) on site projects including Loss Prevention System (LPS). To manage execution of Maintenance activities through outside contractors.
What you will do
- Lead capital project development or design efforts through the company Capital Project System
- Manage Maintenance & Reliability (M&R) projects to a high level of quality with safety, OIMS, and Control expectations
- Development of project scope, cost estimates, schedules, participate in Invitation to Tender (ITT) development, bid evaluation and contractor selection and implementation of maintenance projects to improve facility systems
- Develop and steward project budgets
- Participate/lead design reviews, Risk Assessments, HAZOPs, vendor bid evaluations, and project readiness reviews
- Responsible for the completion of the assigned work scope consistent with the Project ObjectivesDevelopment, implementation and monitoring of operations procedures for maintenance and repair. Implement and maintain maintenance processes in accordance with operating processes
- Manage execution of M&R activities within a designated budget
- Monitor / analysis of site utility spend and usage to identify and implement improvement
- Technical management of facility systems which could include central plant, HVAC, electrical distribution, fire safety, potable water, wastewater etc.
Skills and Qualifications
- Demonstrated design/operations experience and technical/business judgment capabilities, to support all phases of the Facility / project Lifecycle
- Ability to understand and coordinate cross functional collaboration with teams
- The role will be based in Bangalore, able to work on fixed or flexible hours, open to travel occasionally
- Bachelor of Engineering - Electrical / Mechanical engineering with minimum 6.5 CGPA and above
- Minimum 3 years of experience in relevant job
- Relevant experience in laboratory or manufacturing unit
- Working knowledge of facility management technical disciplines, codes, regulatory requirements and company expectations including OIMS and Controls Integrity Management System (CIMS) requirements
- Knowledge on AUTOCAD, Civil projects and Project management
- Able to manage contractors and vendors to deliver quality works and services
- A team player with good inter-personal skills
- Strong organizational, coordination, planning & interface skills
Preferred Qualifications/Experience
- Experience with laboratory facility management
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
- Knowledge on chemicals, laboratory infrastructure and facilities specification is added advantage
- Able to work on fixed, flexible hours, open to travel occasionally
