Project Engineer (Electronics and Communication - Defense Projects)
Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Project Engineer with an Electronics and Communication Engineering background to support and deliver large-scale defense projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing projects end-to-end, from conceptualization through execution to final delivery, ensuring quality, compliance, and timely completion.
Key Responsibilities
Project Lifecycle Management
- Participate in all phases of the project lifecycle, including requirements definition, design, implementation, testing, and delivery
- Support project planning, scheduling, and execution to meet technical and contractual requirements
- Monitor project progress and ensure milestones are achieved on time and within scope
Technical & Engineering Activities
- Review and contribute to system design, specifications, and engineering documentation
- Ensure all engineering solutions comply with relevant standards, safety requirements, and defense regulations
- Provide technical support and resolve engineering issues throughout the project lifecycle
Subcontractor & Stakeholder Management
- Manage and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers
- Ensure subcontractors deliver according to agreed technical specifications, timelines, and quality standards
- Act as a key liaison between internal teams, customers, and external partners
Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including:
- Technical specifications
- Design documents
- Test procedures and reports
- Progress and status reports
- Ensure all deliverables are properly documented and meet contractual requirements
Testing & Acceptance
- Plan, coordinate, and carry out Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT)
- Validate system performance against requirements and ensure compliance
- Support customer acceptance and certification processes
Delivery & Implementation
- Oversee system integration, installation, and commissioning activities
- Ensure successful handover and delivery of projects to customers
- Address post-delivery issues and support final project closure
Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering or a related discipline
Experience
- Experience in large-scale defense or complex engineering projects
- Proven track record in managing projects across full lifecycle phases
- Experience working with subcontractors and cross-functional teams
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of communication systems and engineering principles
- Knowledge in the following topics,

. Microwave communications
. Mesh networking
. TCP/IP
. Routing protocols
. VLAN architecture
. QoS management
. Network security
. Voice over IP
. Frequency hopping
. Encryption
. Interoperability gateways
- Familiarity with system integration, testing, and validation processes
- Knowledge of Military Standards, compliance, and quality requirements is an advantage
