Project Engineer - Climate component ( Automobile domain)

• End-to-End Climate Component Development:
• Lead the design, development, and integration of body climate components, including air ducts, defroster channels, cabin vents, and sealing interfaces.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration:
• Work closely with HVAC, Interior Trim, BIW, NVH, and Thermal teams to ensure seamless integration, thermal comfort, airflow performance, and noise optimization.
• Engineering Specifications & Documentation:
• Own DFMEAs, DVPs, BOMs, CAD packaging, and release processes using CATIA and Teamcenter. Ensure compliance with global standards for thermal comfort, defrosting, and demisting.
• Prototype & Testing Support:
• Support prototype builds, climate chamber testing, airflow measurement, acoustic tuning, and production ramp-up activities.
• Supplier & Manufacturing Interface:
• Interface with Tier 1 climate system suppliers to ensure tooling feasibility, airflow performance, and acoustic refinement. Resolve technical issues and manage engineering change processes (AIMS, ECRs).
• Design Optimization & Sustainability:
• Drive improvements in cost, weight, and sustainability through material selection, ducting layouts, smart vent solutions, and innovative zonal climate designs.
• Airflow Simulation & Analysis:
• Apply Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) tools and airflow analysis to optimize system performance.

Preferred Skills / Good-to-Have:

• Working knowledge of JIRA
• Familiarity with recyclable materials and low-emission adhesives or foams
• Hands-on involvement in prototype builds and production ramp-up phases
• Understanding of UNECE, FMVSS, and ISO climate system standards
• Experience with global vehicle platforms or multi-region launches
• Ability to propose novel ducting layouts, zonal climate solutions, and smart vents
