This Position reports to:
Engineering Manager
Your role and responsibilities (Mandatory)In this role, you will have the opportunity to design, engineering, testing and commissioning of Safety InstrumentedSystems (SIS). Each day, you will complete assignments on small projects or portions of larger projects in a cost-effective manner. You will also showcase your expertise by applying basic design thinking/design for excellence concepts in projects.

This role is contributing to the Process Automation business for Energy Industries division based inBangalore / Pune, India.
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Experienced in the selection, specification, configuration, testing and maintenance of safety instrumented systems (SIS) following IEC 61508/ 61511.
- Experience in oil & gas, chemicals process knowledge, strong understanding of process units and business drivers.
- Experience and knowledge of instrument and control systems through design
- Ability to design and engineer SIS using safety requirements specifications, alarm specification, cause and effect diagrams, system block diagrams, logic narratives and function / logic block diagrams.
- Proficient with SIS hardware design, system design, software design, application programming and HMI graphics development.
- Proficient with SIS design including functional design specifications, response time calculations, test specifications and SIL verification calculations
- Utilizing checklists to perform design verification according to applicable standards and engineering guidelines.
Qualifications for the role (Mandatory)- Full-time BE /B Tech (Instrumentation / Electronics / Electrical).
- 6 to 8 years of experience in SIS design, engineering, testing, commissioning and consulting experienceof Control and Safety Systems in oil & gas production / refining / petrochemical /pharmaceutical industry.
- Working knowledge of the Safety Lifecycle and participation in functional safetyassessments.
- Working knowledge of IEC61508 and IEC61511.
- Proficiency in Safety System design, application programming, hardware design, and HMIgraphics development.
- Experience in safety system hardware inspection, FAT, SAT, loop checks, start-up andcommissioning.
- Thorough understanding of P&ID symbology and presentation techniques
- Must be willing to travel to customer sites for commissioning activities of SIS.
