Engineering Design & Documentation
- Develop and review Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) for VAM chillers, utilities, and associated systems.
- Prepare BOQ
- Prepare detailed piping layouts including routing, sizing, and material specifications.
- Design instrumentation schemes including selection and placement of sensors, valves, transmitters, and control elements.
- Generate and maintain engineering drawings using CAD,BIM tools (AutoCAD / equivalent).
- Ensure all drawings comply with project specifications, client requirements, and applicable codes/standards.
Project Planning & Coordination
- Support project planning, scheduling, and execution in coordination with sales, service, and site teams.
- Prepare engineering deliverables in line with project timelines.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, and EPC contractors for drawing approvals and technical clarifications.
- Participate in technical discussions, design reviews, and project meetings.
Technical Support
- Assist sales team in preparing technical proposals, layouts, and concept designs.
- Provide engineering inputs during tendering and pre-sales stages.
- Support troubleshooting and optimization of existing installations where required.
Site Interface & Execution Support
- Review site conditions and provide inputs for installation planning.
- Support site teams during execution for design-related clarifications.
- Ensure alignment between design drawings and actual site implementation.
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to engineering standards, safety norms, and company guidelines.
- Maintain proper documentation and version control of drawings and technical data.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of P&ID development and interpretation.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D); knowledge of 3D and BIM tools is an added advantage.
- Hands-on experience in piping design, layout planning, and material selection.
- Knowledge of instrumentation design and control philosophy.
- Familiarity with HVAC systems, especially VAM (Vapor Absorption Machines), will be preferred.
- Understanding of relevant engineering codes and standards (ASME, ANSI, etc.).
- Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and drawings.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferred) or related field.
- 3–7 years of relevant experience in piping design, HVAC projects, or industrial systems.
- Experience in EPC, HVAC, or energy systems industry will be preferred.
