Cost Planning & Budget Control

  • Develop and maintain project budgets, cost breakdown structures (CBS), and cost control systems.
  • Establish project cost baselines and monitor performance against approved budgets.
  • Review project estimates, quotations, and commercial proposals during project initiation.

Cost Monitoring & Reporting

  • Track actual project expenditures, commitments, and accruals.
  • Monitor labor, subcontractor, material, equipment, and vessel-related costs.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly cost reports, dashboards, and management summaries.
  • Analyze cost variances and recommend corrective actions to mitigate budget overruns.

Forecasting & Financial Analysis

  • Prepare Estimate at Completion (EAC), Estimate to Complete (ETC), and cash flow forecasts.
  • Conduct trend analysis to identify cost risks and opportunities.
  • Support project managers in evaluating the financial impact of scope changes and variation orders.

Change Management

  • Monitor approved and pending variation orders, change requests, and additional work claims.
  • Ensure all project changes are properly documented and reflected in project forecasts.
  • Assist commercial and project teams in preparing supporting cost data for client negotiations.

Procurement & Contract Administration

  • Coordinate with procurement teams to track purchase orders, subcontract agreements, and vendor invoices.
  • Verify cost allocations and ensure expenditures are charged to the correct project accounts.
  • Monitor subcontractor progress and payment certifications.

Project Controls & Compliance

  • Maintain accurate project cost records and supporting documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with company financial procedures, project controls standards, and audit requirements.
  • Support internal and external audits related to project expenditures.

Requirement

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Accounting, Finance, Project Management, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in cost control,project controls, quantity surveying, or project finance within the shipyard,marine, offshore, or heavy engineering industry.
  • Strong knowledge of project cost control methodologies and budgeting principles.
