Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Project Assurance Analyst to support governance and project assurance activities across a portfolio of technology projects within the financial services sector. You will act as the critical link between project delivery teams and the Project Assurance function, ensuring that projects adhere to established governance frameworks, risk controls, and quality standards.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in Waterfall System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and experience in PMO environments. You will be responsible for monitoring project health, validating project information, facilitating assurance reviews, and providing actionable insights to senior leadership. This role requires a proactive individual who can challenge project teams constructively while maintaining collaborative relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Governance & Assurance Support: Facilitate governance meetings and assurance reviews. Provide practical guidance to project teams on governance processes, reporting requirements, and project controls.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Act as the primary liaison between project delivery teams, PMOs, Risk & Control teams, and the Project Assurance function. Track action items and follow up with stakeholders to ensure timely resolution.
  • Project Health Monitoring: Coordinate with project teams to obtain accurate and timely project information. Monitor project status to identify potential risks, issues, and deviations from the plan.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Produce high-quality project reports and documentation using strong analytical skills. Ensure all project artifacts meet compliance and audit standards.
  • Process Compliance: Ensure projects comply with internal policies, tender requirements, and international standards. Validate that project controls are being effectively implemented.

Requirements & Skillsets

1. Mandatory Requirements (Must-Haves)

· Education: Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business, Project Management, or a related discipline.

· Experience:

o Minimum 3 years of experience in a PMO (Project Management Office) or Project Assurance role.

o Minimum 3 years of experience supporting or managing Waterfall-based system development projects.

· Technical Knowledge:

o Strong understanding of the Waterfall System Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

o Good knowledge of project management methodologies, governance frameworks, and project controls.

· Core Competencies:

o Analytical & Reporting: Strong analytical, reporting, and documentation skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

o Stakeholder Management: Ability to engage with multiple stakeholders across business and technology teams. Strong communication skills (spoken and written in English).

o Constructive Challenge: Ability to assess project status, identify risks, and challenge project teams constructively while maintaining collaborative relationships.

· Work Authorization: Must be a Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident.

2. Key Specific Skillsets (Core Competencies)

· Risk & Issue Identification: Proven ability to assess project health and identify potential risks and issues early in the lifecycle.

· Governance Frameworks: Familiarity with project assurance, audit, risk management, or quality review activities.

· Communication: Business-level English proficiency for both spoken and written communication.

3. Preferences & Desirable Skills (Nice-to-Haves)

· Industry Experience: Prior experience in the Banking or Financial Services industry is highly preferred.

· Domain Knowledge: Experience in Corporate Banking systems development projects.

· Complex Projects: Experience supporting regional or multi-country projects.

· Certifications:PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is preferred. Other project management certifications are an advantage.

Benefits

  • No requirement for weekend or public holiday work. No overtime expected.
  • Annual Leave (AL): 14 days per year (pro-rated).

Work Hours & Location:

  • Work Hours: Normal business hours (Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM).
  • Work Location: Office-based in the Central or Changi area.
  • Business Trips: Not applicable for this role.
