With over 35 years of practice, the firm has delivered projects of national and international significance across a diverse range of typologies. bbArch has won several prestigious design competitions, including the Indian Consulate in Dubai, the Azad Bhawan Auditorium for the Indian Council for Cultural Relations, the Indian Embassy Complex in Muscat, the Delhi Institute of Technology campus at Dwarka, and the Nizampur Indoor Stadium for the MCD. The studio is steadily growing, with strong interests in design excellence, technology integration, and research-driven practice, offering team members opportunities to work on complex and visible projects.

Role Description The Project Architect is a full-time, on-site role based in Delhi, India. The individual in this position will lead and coordinate architectural projects from concept through construction, including design development, preparation of detailed drawings, and coordination with consultants and contractors. Daily responsibilities include managing project timelines and deliverables, preparing and reviewing submittals, ensuring code and regulatory compliance, and overseeing the integration of sustainable and high-performance design principles where applicable. The Project Architect will also guide junior team members, participate in client meetings and presentations, and collaborate closely with internal design, technical, and documentation teams to ensure design intent is maintained through all project stages.

Qualifications

  • Strong architectural design and technical skills, with proven experience delivering projects from concept to completion.
  • Experience with project management and submittals, including managing schedules, coordinating with stakeholders, and overseeing project documentation.
  • Familiarity with sustainable design practices; LEED or similar green building knowledge or certification is an advantage.
  • Professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch) from an accredited institution and eligibility for local professional registration is preferred.
  • Excellent coordination, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.
  • Attention to detail, strong problem-solving abilities, and capacity to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Experience working on institutional, commercial, or public projects and comfort working in a design-focused studio environment.
