The Project Manager is accountable for execution of civil and structural works entirely within live brownfield smelter facilities, with direct interfaces to operating units like Pot room, Carbon and Cast House units, hightraffic logistics corridors, active rail movements, and live utilities. The scope includes heavyduty molten metal handling floors, soil stabilization and yard works under live traffic, Area grading , Rock cutting methods, Rock control blasting techniques and railway infrastructure execution requiring strict control of alignment, formation stability, drainage, and safety clearances. Works are geographically dispersed across spaceconstrained, highactivity zones, requiring tightly integrated sequencing to protect metal flow, rail operations, and yard logistics continuity.

The role includes direct liaison with government and statutory authorities for rail interfaces, permits, inspections, and landuse approvals, together with management of community and local stakeholder interfaces, adding significant complexity to access control, sequencing, and schedule certainty.

The Project Manager exercises sustained interpretive judgement to resolve nonroutine execution challenges involving construction under live operating conditions, sequencing earthworks and rail works around ongoing logistics, settlement control, and interface management with existing assets, balancing safety, regulatory compliance, operational continuity, and schedule adherence within approved frameworks.

The position manages very highdensity interfaces with operations, logistics, rail authorities, government agencies, engineering consultants, contractors, and safety functions, ensuring civil readiness aligns with Cast House operations, rail availability windows, regulatory commitments, and yard usability milestones.

The role carries direct accountability for cost, schedule, quality, safety, and statutory compliance outcomes of the Cast House, Railway, and Soil Management C&S scope. Decisions have a material impact on operational continuity, metal movement, logistics reliability, commissioning readiness, regulatory standing, and localized CAPEX performance, exercised within delegated authority.

Civil and Str works for area grading rock cutting, control blasting and interface management with various operation areas like potroom , cast house expansion, new cast house section with finished good yard, Railway infrastructure and unloading platform, soil management for the whole project and other enabling activities.
