Programming Head

Urja Radio 89.6 FM is a community-oriented radio station based in Singrauli, established on July 4, 2022. Focused on empowering, educating, and entertaining its listeners, the station addresses local issues, promotes awareness on education, health, and sustainability, and celebrates Singrauli's rich cultural heritage. Broadcasting on 89.6 FM, Urja Radio delivers a mix of local news, educational programs, cultural content, and interactive sessions that reflect the community's heart and soul. Through its initiatives, the station provides a vibrant platform for diverse voices to connect and engage.

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Singrauli for the position of Programming and Sound Engineer Head. The selected candidate will oversee all programming, sound engineering, and technical aspects of the station. Key responsibilities include managing audio recordings, designing soundscapes, operating microphones and AV systems effectively, and applying expertise in sound design and acoustics to ensure high-quality broadcasts. Coordination with the programming team to maintain engaging and dynamic content is a central aspect of this role.

• Proficiency in handling Microphones and operating Audio Visual (AV) Systems
• Strong expertise in Audio Engineering and Sound Design
• Sound knowledge of Acoustics for optimizing audio quality
• Experience with managing audio recordings and live broadcasts
• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues swiftly and effectively
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Audio Engineering, Sound Design, or related fields
• Familiarity with community radio operations and local cultural content is a plus
