Job Title: Programme Manager – STEM Lab Project

Employment Type: Contractual but full time

Job Summary:

The Programme Manager will provide strategic leadership and overall management for the establishment, implementation, and sustainability of STEM (Science, Technology, English, and Mathematics) Lab at south delhi. The role involves overseeing programme planning, partnership development, budgeting, monitoring & evaluation, and ensuring quality outcomes that enhance STEM learning among students.

The Programme Manager will guide a multidisciplinary team to achieve project goals, strengthen institutional capacities, and promote innovation in STEM education.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Planning & Programme Management

Lead the design, planning, and execution of the STEM Lab programme in alignment with organizational strategy and donor requirements.

Develop work plans, implementation schedules, and key performance indicators (KPIs).

Supervise Programme Coordinator, Field-Co-ordinators (Mobilizers), and support staff to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of activities.

2. Partnership Development & Stakeholder Engagement

Build and maintain strong relationships with government education departments and government school leadership etc.

Liaise with government bodies for necessary approvals, alignment with national education frameworks etc.

3. Budgeting, Finance & Resource Management

Lead the preparation and management of the programme budget and ensure cost-effective utilization of resources.

Oversee procurement processes for STEM lab equipment, ensuring compliance and quality assurance.

Monitor expenditures and financial reporting in coordination with the finance team.

4. Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting

Oversee the development and implementation of monitoring and evaluation (M&E) frameworks and data collection tools.

Track progress against project objectives, outcomes, and impact indicators.

Prepare and present comprehensive progress reports, donor reports, and strategic reviews.

Ensure continuous learning and improvement by documenting lessons learned and best practices.

5. Capacity Building & Quality Assurance

Oversee the design and delivery of teacher training and mentoring programmes for effective STEM lab utilization.

Ensure that programme interventions are inclusive and gender-sensitive.

Implement quality assurance mechanisms for lab setup, equipment use, and pedagogical integration.

6. Communication & Visibility

Represent the programme in external forums, conferences, and stakeholder meetings.

Support the development of communication materials (case studies, success stories, reports).
