About the Role
We areseekingananalyticaland collaborativecolleague to provide research,analysisand overall coordination toAssemble'sProgramme Team,responsible for developing strategy and implementing with grantmakingand ecosystem development in key regions and cross-cutting issue areas.Reporting toaProgrammeLead, theProgrammeOfficerwill bethe engine behind effective, high-qualitygrant makingdriving strong processes, insightfulresearchand seamlessprogramme implementation. By supportinggranteerelationships, improvinggrantmakingsystemsand processesand keeping the portfolio on track,theProgramme Officerwillensurethe team can make informed decisions and deliver meaningful impact through our funding and that partners receive fundingin a timely manner.
The ideal candidate willbeanalytical and detail oriented,excellent atmanaging processesand relationships,andthriveworkingbothcollaboratively and independentlyin a small, agile team.
Key Responsibilities
Grant making & Portfolio Management
- Conduct initial research andparticipatein meetings with potential grantees; support proposal development and qualification.
- Project management of grant development acrossthe full grant cycle: gather proposals, check budgets, draft summariesandtrackmilestonesandimpact metrics.
- Executedue diligence: collectmaterials,conductanalysis,documentfindingsand make recommendations.
Research, Analysis & Strategy
- Conduct desk research on potential grantees, sector trends,relevantpolicyandfoundation strategies.
- Distil qualitative and quantitative information into actionable insights
- Draftbriefingmemos, landscapescansand analyticalreports.
Coordination, Communications & Administration
- Organise meetings,takeminutesand supportand trackfollow-up.
- Coordinatelogisticsfor workshops, sitevisitsand events.
- Preparedocuments,spreadsheetsandslides.
- Maintain calendars,portfolio tracking,CRMand grant management system records.
Learning, Monitoring & Internal Processes
- Collect and organisegranteeOKRs and indicatorsto support monitoring and evaluation.
- Capture lessons learned andcontributeto internal learning and knowledge management.

- Built environment familiarity:Knowledge of the built environment and/or adjacent issue areas.

- Excellent communicator:Independently produceshigh quality slides, spreadsheets, and documents.
- Flexible and hands-on:Thrives in small, evolving organizations; comfortable rolling up sleeves to deliver results.

- Systemsand techsavvy:Robust skills in slide and database creationand taskmanagement,grant making, and CRM systems(e.g.Monday.com, Salesforce,Fluxx)
- Experience:Significant knowledge of and experienceinAsia and Africa is a strong advantage. Ideally candidates will have workedin one or more of the followingfields:management consulting,CSOs, philanthropy, and/or ecosystem associations.
- Location: Remotein Asia, Africa, or Europe,with the ability tocollaborate with colleagues across multiple time zones.
