Delivery Networks & Technologies team builds and operates the mapping and geospatial intelligence that powers Amazon's global delivery network. Our vision is to provide the best solutions for Amazon Delivery Networks with a focus on safe, efficient, and frictionless delivery experiences. We build solutions that support drivers globally, leveraging innovative technologies including machine learning, computer vision, and large language models to enrich our in-house solutions with high-quality geospatial data. To achieve this objective, we manage a portfolio of vendors who supply critical geospatial data across markets worldwide.
We are looking for a strategic and analytical Program Manager to join our Vendor Management team. In this role, you will drive process automation and governance across for our vendor ecosystem including streamlining data evaluations, contract administration, purchase order management, and vendor payment coordination to reduce operational overhead and improve compliance.
You will design and implement scalable governance frameworks and automation solutions that enable our team to operate efficiently at scale. This is a high-visibility role that requires strong operational rigor, cross-functional collaboration with Finance and Legal teams, and the ability to communicate clearly across a variety of internal and external audiences.
Key job responsibilities
- Own program-level goals and initiatives, including defining success metrics, tracking progress, and reporting to leadership
- Build scalable solutions that improve operational efficiency across vendor management workflows
- Create and own governance frameworks that enable efficient and effective vendor engagement, contract administration and ensuring adherence to procurement policies and regulatory requirements
- Manage procurement activities including creating purchase orders, tracking spend against budgets, and coordinating vendor payment processes with Finance
- Communicate complex operational findings and strategic recommendations clearly to a variety of internal and external audiences, including senior leadership
- 3+ years of program or project management experience
- 3+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
- 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
- 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
- 3+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
- Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
