Job Description

At Pocket, we've experienced rapid growth in both revenue and scale over the past few years, further fueling our ambition. We operate across diverse industries and geographies, tackling complex challenges that require leaders who can navigate ambiguity and drive impact. These roles demand the ability to solve first-of-their-kind problems, often without precedent.

This position involves leading key functions, including creative teams, production, digital marketing, and user acquisition; as well as managing large-scale, cross-functional initiatives. Thriving at Pocket requires a mix of high IQ and EQ, analytical rigor, an entrepreneurial mindset, and the ability to influence C-suite decision-making. We set ambitious goals, solve complex problems, and take full ownership of execution. Prior experience solving similar problems isn't required. What matters is adaptability, a willingness to learn and reinvent, and intellectual humility.

Responsibilities

This role sits at the intersection of content strategy, product thinking, and operational excellence solving first-time, high-scale challenges across a rapidly expanding content ecosystem.

  • Content Library Ownership: End-to-end ownership of the licensed content library, ensuring quality, consistency, and high-impact content availability across genres.
  • Run structured experiments, analyze performance signals, and identify top-performing genres.
  • Operational Program Management: Build programs and workflows that guarantee a steady, timely flow of content going live fully aligned with growth targets and business goals.
  • Team & Talent Leadership: Hire, scale, and lead editorial and promo production teams. Drive talent development through structured training, workshops, incentives, and ongoing capability-building.
  • Data-Driven Content Decisions: Track show performance, identify improvement levers, and shape the future pipeline by pairing editorial intuition with analytical rigor.
  • Process Innovation: Design and refine end-to-end processes for creation, distribution, and repurposing. Keep teams aligned on product innovations and integrate new features seamlessly into the content strategy.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 6 months to 1 year of work experience in a startup/similar environment.
  • Astute problem-solving skills and ability to break (seemingly) large problems into smaller and practical solvable pieces, and a data-driven approach to decision-making, with a keen eye for insights and metrics
  • Passionate about building great product experiences, thriving in fast-moving environments, and making smart decisions in ambiguity.
