Summary:
Candidates for this role must enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, have strong planning skills, and a commitment to excellence. A successful candidate will have a firm grasp on content creation, program management, and community management strategies, as well as the ability to execute across multiple communications formats and vehicles, including hybrid events, presentations, videos, podcasts, social media, intranet, and creation and management of communications assets. This is a highly collaborative role that works closely with other team members and senior leaders.
Responsibilities:
- Leader and org communications: Work closely with org leader and business manager on communications efforts and messaging to drive global impact.
- Develop annual communications plan and coordinate, edit, and distribute monthly newsletters on digital channels.
- Manage strategy, content, and agenda development, coordination, logistics, and follow-up communications for organization-wide events.
- Develop content for org leader&rsquos LinkedIn and executive platform.
- Content development and management: Requires PowerPoint, storytelling, editing, and project management skills, and familiarity with a wide array of communications delivery vehicles and Microsoft products.
- Event management and promotion: Coordinate and contribute to event management and presentation development. Develop engaging communications to promote, inspire, and engage intended audiences.
- Change communications: Collaborate on landing changes within the team with other change management efforts and processes.
- Video and podcast management: Collaborate on storytelling, video/podcast production, and editing.
- Contribute to strategy and content development for the team&rsquos central online portal to ensure cohesive storytelling and community engagement.
- Develop content, cadence, and analytics for Viva/Yammer Team Social engagement.
- Cross-team alignment: Actively contribute to cross-group projects, including storytelling and best practice sharing.
- Feedback management: Capture worker feedback and integrate it into overall communications efforts.
- Communications asset management: Create and centrally manage core content assets and templates to ensure content alignment, consistency, and amplification.
- Reporting/Metrics: Utilize data and feedback mechanisms to review engagement and impact of communications programs and inform adjustments.
Requirements:
- 5-10 years of experience as a communications manager in the tech sector, leading corporate communications programs.
- Proven storytelling experience within a corporate environment, communicating to a large, global audience at all levels of the organization.
- Bachelor&rsquos degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or equivalent training, or an MBA degree preferred.
Required Skills:
- Exceptional written communication skills, including the ability to simplify complex narratives.
- Broad communications experience across a variety of marketing platforms, including web, email, e-newsletters, apps, video, podcasts, and events.
- Strong organizational skills and a methodical approach to program management.
- Creative thinker capable of developing impactful communications for diverse audiences.
- Adept at managing multiple communication projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work effectively across groups and contribute to the success of others.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in deliverables.
- Proficiency in Microsoft products (SharePoint, PowerPoint, Teams, Yammer/Viva).
Preferred Skills:
- Hands-on experience hosting in-person and virtual campaigns aimed at improving worker experience and engagement.
- Basic video editing or Photoshop skills for producing dynamic and visually appealing content.
