Role Description

Program Manager – Commercial Strategy, In-Flight Entertainment and Connectivity (IFEC) leads a small, high‑impact team supporting both IFEC Innovation & Growth and Commercial Strategy leadership. This role sits at the center of Delta's current onboard monetization strategy and future media strategy, with primary responsibility for financial modeling, executive‑level storytelling, and the development of long‑term monetization frameworks.

The role leads and develops a small team and serves as a trusted extension of IFEC leadership, owning complex analyses, translating insights into clear executive narratives, and helping scale Delta's onboard mdia, commerce, and data‑driven revenue capabilities.

The ideal candidate brings a blend of media network experience, strong financial and strategic rigor, and prior investment banking or consulting training, combined with a proven ability to lead teams and operate comfortably with senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:Strategy & Monetization

  • Own the development of IFEC monetization strategy, including advertising, commerce, sponsorship, subscription, and data‑adjacent revenue models.
  • Support long‑term growth strategy and roadmap development across IFEC platforms, grounded in market insight, competitive dynamics, and economic feasibility.
  • Conduct competitive and market analysis to inform positioning, investment tradeoffs, and strategic priorities.

Financial Modeling & Analytics

  • Own financial modeling, scenario analysis, and long‑range forecasting for IFEC initiatives, including business case development, partner economics, and value creation analysis.
  • Lead financial performance tracking, ensuring alignment between contractual terms, business cases, and realized results.
  • Translate complex financial and strategic analysis into clear implications for leadership decision‑making.

Executive Communication & Decision Support

  • Lead the development of high‑quality, executive‑ready presentations for IFEC and senior Delta leadership, with a strong emphasis on clarity, structure, and narrative.
  • Synthesize cross‑functional inputs into concise recommendations, framing tradeoffs and risks in a leadership‑relevant manner.
  • Anticipate leadership needs and operate as a thought partner on strategic and commercial questions.Team Leadership & Execution
  • Manage, coach, and develop a team, setting high standards for analytical rigor, communication quality, and accountability.
  • Own workload planning, prioritization, and capacity management to ensure consistent, high‑quality delivery across parallel workstreams.
  • Ensure disciplined execution by setting clear priorities, managing timelines, and maintaining visibility for senior stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications

What You Need To Succeed (Minimum Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Economics, Finance, Marketing, or a related field from a leading institution.
  • 15+ years of relevant experience across strategy, finance, media, or platform-based businesses.
  • Proven experience leading and developing teams, with ownership of complex, cross functional workstreams.
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, with the ability to independently build and own models from first principles.
  • Hands on experience with media adjacent business models such as advertising, sponsorship, commerce, subscription, or data driven monetization.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex analysis into clear, executive‑ready narratives and presentations.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to operate independently in a fast paced environment while managing multiple priorities and delivering under tight timelines.
  • Strong business judgment, intellectual curiosity, and creative problem solving mindset.
  • Commitment to safety, security, and inclusive collaboration.
  • Leads with accountability and fosters a collaborative, solution oriented team culture.

  • Prior experience in investment banking or top‑tier management consulting, with significant ownership of financial models, strategy cases, and executive deliverables.
  • Experience working with or building media networks, platforms, or marketplaces.
  • Background in long term strategy, corporate development, or growth initiatives.
  • Deep understanding of how data, technology, and customer engagement drive monetization at scale.
