General Summary

This Software Program Manager position focuses on Qualcomm's Internet of Things (IoT) Business Unit (BU), supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of software programs that span multiple technologies and product segments. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with the latest innovations in software and hardware, and to collaborate across a variety of teams including HLOS, BSP, Modem, Connectivity, and Multimedia.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide end-to-end program management support for IoT software development projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional technology and business teams to ensure alignment on program goals and deliverables.
  • Drive requirements scoping, analysis, and planning, including interdependencies and staffing.
  • Establish and manage a clear Plan of Record, ensuring prioritization and alignment across technical teams.
  • Monitor risk management processes, schedule tracking, and execution discipline.
  • Report on program status through key indicators such as timelines, quality metrics, and risk mitigation plans.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders and executive leadership.
  • Coordinate with multiple development sites as needed.
  • Develop processes that integrate project plans, deliverables, and timelines for improved efficiency.


Skills & Experience

  • 12–15 years of combined experience in software product development and program management within the semiconductor or wireless industry.
  • Deep understanding of wireless technologies and semiconductor development processes.
  • Strong track record in managing software projects through the full development lifecycle.
  • Technical expertise in software deliverables and dependencies across embedded and platform-level software.
  • Experience driving cross-functional collaboration across geographically distributed teams.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in program management or a related discipline.
