Role: Program Manager (Engineering)
We are seeking a strategic facilitator to unify our engineering efforts and establish a robust governance framework. This individual will oversee project delivery health, standardize our Product Development Life Cycle (PDLC), and manage our OKR tracking to ensure technical goals remain on schedule.
Rather than managing individual requirements or conflicts, they will focus on the big picturedriving quarterly governance meetings and providing a coherent, high-level view of our progress. They must be a master of navigating matrixed organizations, acting as a proactive watchdog for risks and a champion for our operating model.
The person should be responsible for:
- Governance: Standardizing the PDLC and leading quarterly reviews.
- Methodology Mastery: Proficiency in managing project frameworks like Agile, Scrum, or Kanban and ensuring adherence to standards.
- Visibility: Tracking OKRs and providing a unified view of engineering performance.
- Risk Management: Acting as a watchdog to highlight delays and priority shifts before they become issues.
- Strategic Alignment: Coordinating the operating model across stakeholders without getting pulled into daily requirement gathering or conflict resolution.
- Financial & Budget Management: Handling budgeting, cost control and procurement
Skills required in the person:
- Tool Proficiency: Expertise in PM software (e.g., Jira) to streamline workflows.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional oral and written communication to interact with stakeholders, team members, and executives.
- Leadership & Influence: Guiding teams without micromanaging, fostering collaboration, and driving change.
- Conflict Resolution: Navigating disagreements effectively to keep projects on track.
- Change Management: Supporting organizational adaptation to new processes or market disruptions.
- Organizational Awareness: Understanding the big picture of business operations and adapting to changing environments.
