Role & Responsibilities

As a Program Manager III, you will lead a program of complex, cross-functional projects focused on product development, cost optimization, and design standardization across globally manufactured products. You will drive program strategy, execution governance, and stakeholder alignment to deliver measurable business impact.

  • Own and manage programs/projects, ensuring alignment with business priorities, financial targets, and strategic objectives
  • Establish program governance, including planning, execution frameworks, risk management, and performance tracking (scope, schedule, cost, and quality)
  • Lead cross-functional teams across engineering, sourcing, operations, quality, service, and global R&D to deliver high-impact outcomes
  • Drive Value Analysis / Value Engineering (VAVE) programs to identify and implement cost optimization opportunities while maintaining product quality and compliance
  • Deliver measurable business impact, including $1-2M+ annual cost savings, and build a strong pipeline for sustained savings
  • Develop and maintain integrated program plans, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms to provide visibility to senior stakeholders
  • Proactively identify risks, dependencies, and bottlenecks drive mitigation strategies and escalation as needed
  • Ensure design, development, and qualification activities comply with global engineering standards, regulatory requirements, and quality systems
  • Drive product cost analysis, teardown benchmarking, and competitive insights to support data-driven decision-making
  • Facilitate stakeholder communication, alignment, and decision-making across global teams and leadership forums
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives (PPI/Lean) to enhance execution efficiency and program outcomes
  • Mentor and guide team members, fostering technical capability and leadership development across the organization

Skills & Proficiencies

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience, including strong exposure to program/project management, product development, and VAVE/cost optimization initiatives
  • Proven track record of managing complex, cross-functional programs or portfolios with measurable business impact
  • Strong expertise in program/project planning, governance, risk management, and stakeholder management
  • Experience leading end-to-end VAVE initiatives (from opportunity identification through implementation and realization)
  • Proficiency in product cost analysis, teardown benchmarking, and engineering optimization techniques
  • Good understanding of global engineering standards, regulatory requirements, and product qualification processes
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to drive alignment across diverse stakeholder groups
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in mentoring, coaching, and developing teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP, PgMP, or equivalent program management certification
  • VAVE certification
  • Experience with PLM systems (e.g., Teamcenter) and CAD tools such as UG/NX, along with working knowledge of simulation tools like Ansys
