About the role

We are looking for a hands-on Program Manager – AI, Data & Systems to lead the design, delivery, and ongoing management of Lendable's AI-enabled automation, data integration, and analytics initiatives. You will individually drive 2–3 key AI initiatives over the 2 year period – from prototyping to production – while managing project-based resource allocation across engineering, data science, and external consultant teams.

The role covers the full lifecycle of AI and data programmes: evolving Maestro into a scalable external-facing analytics platform, deploying AI-driven automation for borrower and risk data, implementing data validation and feedback mechanisms, building risk identification tools, and integrating analytics into investment workflows. You will serve as the primary point of contact for external programme partners and the connective tissue across investment, portfolio, and technology teams.

Responsibilities

• Individually design, build, and ship 2–3 AI initiatives per year – including but not limited to agentic workflows, RAG systems, LLM-powered decision support, data pipelines, and automation tools using LangChain, LangGraph, and similar modern AI frameworks
• Own end-to-end delivery of AI-enabled automation, data integration, and analytics programmes across multiple concurrent workstreams, from inception through pilot to production deployment
• Manage the evolution of Maestro into a scalable external-facing analytics and monitoring platform for investors, including investor dashboards, covenant monitoring, and automated underwriting analytics
• Oversee implementation of AI-driven data validation, testing, and structured feedback mechanisms to enhance data quality and support borrower system improvements
• Drive development of AI-based risk identification and flagging capabilities for proactive portfolio monitoring
• Ensure integration of AI-supported analytics into investment decision-making workflows, improving speed, accuracy, and consistency of borrower assessment
• Develop and maintain detailed workplans, milestones, and governance frameworks; manage project-based resource allocation across internal teams and external consultants
• Track and report on AI governance metrics, use case pilots, production deployments, and portfolio impact (targeting 10,000+ end borrowers)
• Ensure at least two (2) AI use cases are piloted per year, with at least one transitioning to production and one directly benefiting borrowers
• Translate business requirements from investment and portfolio teams into structured technical specifications; facilitate training and knowledge transfer for internal teams and pilot investors

Capabilities

• Hands-on technical builder with strong coding skills and a track record of shipping AI/ML products to production
• Good understanding of coding agents / harnesses, coding models, guardrails,
• Strong programme management discipline with experience managing multiple workstreams and external partners
• Technical fluency in AI/ML, data engineering, API integrations, and data infrastructure
• Practical mindset toward emerging technologies, particularly AI automation and agentic workflows
• Excellent stakeholder management and structured communication skills

Experience

• 10+ years in programme management, technology delivery, or data/analytics leadership, with some experience preferably in fintech or financial services
• Hands-on experience with python, AI systems (RAG, LangChain, agentic workflows, LLMs, conventional analytical models), data pipelines (snowflake, dbt), and integration architectures
• Experience with financial services data, alternative data, lending platforms, or portfolio management systems
• Ability to understand code base, understand API documentation, and communicate effectively with engineering teams
• Experience with data visualisation tools (Tableau, Looker, or similar) and SQL
• MBA or equivalent advanced degree in a quantitative or business discipline is preferred
