About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned Program Manager to lead end-to-end delivery of AI implementation programs for our global financial services clients. In this role, you will serve as the primary bridge between technical delivery teams, and client business stakeholders - ensuring that AI solutions are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with our commercial objectives.
You shall oversee and manage a portfolio of projects on our client engagements, actively lead delivery teams, manage client stakeholders and develop a pipeline for future engagements.
Key Responsibilities
Program & Project Delivery
- Own the full program lifecycle for AI implementation projects - from scoping and planning through deployment and hypercare.
- Define program governance structures, milestones, and success metrics across multiple concurrent workstreams.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, resource plans, RAID logs, and status dashboards.
- Coordinate cross-functional delivery teams including data scientists, ML engineers, solutions architects, and client-side teams.
Stakeholder & Client Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for client executives and senior stakeholders throughout the program lifecycle.
- Facilitate executive steering committees, program reviews, and governance forums.
- Translate complex AI and technical concepts into clear business narratives for non-technical audiences.
- Manage client expectations proactively, ensuring transparent communication on scope, schedule, and risks.
Risk & Issue Management
- Identify, assess, and mitigate program-level risks including technical, commercial, regulatory, and operational risks.
- Manage escalations and critical issues with structured resolution frameworks; maintain clear audit trails.
Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor a team of project managers and PM analysts.
- Foster a high-performance, collaborative team culture with clear accountability and ownership.
Value Tracking
- Track quantitative and qualitative metrics for capturing value created by projects for the client organization to demonstrate program success and generate business.
AI Program Strategy
- Partner with technical leads to align implementation roadmaps with client business goals.
- Contribute to pre-sales and solution design for new engagements - scoping, estimating, and shaping delivery approaches.
- Establish program delivery best practices, playbooks, and templates for AI implementations at scale.
- Track and report on program-level OKRs, adoption metrics, and value realization.
Business & Client Development
- Identify and pursue upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing client accounts, working closely with sales and account leaders.
- Support pre-contract activities including client discovery workshops, solution scoping, effort estimation, and proposal development for new engagements.
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with client stakeholders to position the organisation as a trusted AI transformation partner.
- Provide market and competitive intelligence from client engagements to inform product and service development roadmaps.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in technology project management or program management roles, with at least 2 years managing AI implementation projects.
- Project Planning: Demonstrated ability to plan and manage complex, multi-workstream programs using structured methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid).
- Stakeholder Management: Proven track record of managing senior client and internal stakeholders; experience running executive-level governance forums.
- Risk Management: Strong capability in identifying and managing program risks, dependencies, and issues; experience with RAID log management.
- Financial Services Domain: Solid understanding of the financial services landscape — banking, payments or lending – preferred experience with global financial services clients.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to produce high-quality status reports, executive decks, and program documentation.
- Team Management: Experience leading and developing multi-disciplinary delivery teams in a consulting environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Direct exposure to AI, machine learning, or data platform implementation programs (e.g., model deployment pipelines, MLOps, data lakes, LLM integrations).
- Experience working at or with fintech, financial services organizations or financial services technology vendors.
- Certifications such as PMP, PgMP, PMI-ACP, PRINCE2, SAFe, or equivalent.
- Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, MS Project, Smartsheet, or similar delivery management platforms.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and understanding of enterprise data architectures.
- Prior consulting or client-facing delivery experience in a technology consultancy or AI solutions firm.
