THE PERSON:
The right candidate will have solid knowledge of technical program management for SOC Programs, an outstanding track record of delivering sophisticated hardware programs, you will also drive a schedule for business planning towards growth that align to business strategy
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Defines, plans and drives projects and program plans based on management and senior technical guidance
- Scope technical feasibility of new Products by clarifying and analyzing requirements with Architects, Technical Leads and Engineers
- Develop program schedule by considering various dependencies, negotiate and create a staffing plan that supports the schedule and track cross-domain dependencies
- Building, creating, and maintaining a well-developed, managed and executed program plan is critical
- You will establish formal program management artifacts including a plan of record, statements of work, project/program timelines, budget, scope, performance, and quality KPIs
- Excellence in resource planning is necessary
- The successful candidate must also plan for risks in the development path, identify prevention methods, and address them to save on engineering costs
- Being comfortable working with senior executives is a hard requirement. You must address the needs and requirements called upon from AMD's Engineering, Product Management and Customer Engineering organizations
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Good understanding of SOC execution requirements management, documentation management, and defect management
- Ability to grasp concepts during discussions and turn minutes into action items
- Able to communicate concepts and processes with stakeholders
- Analytical, self-motivated, organized, detailed-oriented and results-oriented
- Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to work well with multiple people and teams, ability to communicate progress to team members on a regular basis
- Experience working in a high-pressure environment and competing priorities and tight turnaround times
- Engineering background with exposure to Full Chip activities or complex mixed signal IPs is preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Project, JIRA, Confluence and Excel is an asset
- Experience with Agile methodology
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
- Formal Project Management education, PMP certified
