Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced and results-oriented Program Management / BFSI Project Management Specialist to lead and oversee complex programs and projects, particularly within the Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for defining program scope, managing cross-functional teams, ensuring timely delivery, and mitigating risks to achieve strategic business objectives. This role requires strong leadership, exceptional organizational skills, and a deep understanding of project management methodologies within a regulated industry.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage end-to-end project lifecycles for complex programs and projects, with a strong focus on the BFSI (Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance) sector.
  • Define project and program scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, budgets, and risk management strategies.
  • Manage cross-functional project teams, providing guidance, motivation, and fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Monitor project progress, track milestones, and ensure adherence to established timelines and budgets.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues proactively, developing contingency plans as needed.
  • Communicate project status, challenges, and successes regularly to all stakeholders, including senior management and clients.
  • Ensure adherence to project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid) and best practices.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and facilitate effective communication channels between all parties involved.
  • Oversee vendor management activities for project-related services and solutions.
  • Ensure projects deliver high-quality solutions that meet business requirements and compliance standards, especially critical in the BFSI domain.
  • Drive continuous improvement in project management processes and tools.
  • Manage change requests effectively, assessing impact on scope, schedule, and budget.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in Program Management or Project Management, specifically within the BFSI (Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance) domain.
  • Strong understanding of BFSI industry regulations, compliance requirements, and business processes.
  • Expertise in various project management methodologies (e.g., PMP, Agile/Scrum Master certification is a plus).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects with multiple dependencies and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, Asana, Azure DevOps).
  • Excellent leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to risk management.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences, including senior leadership and technical teams.
  • Ability to manage budgets, resources, and timelines effectively.
  • Experience with vendor management and contract negotiation.
