About Sama

Sama Digital Foundation refurbishes end-of-life corporate laptops and places them in the hands of women and youth across India. We are a Section 8 nonprofit operating across 21 states, with 51 NGO partners. To date we've refurbished and distributed 16,500 devices, reached 2,10,000+ women and girls, and supported over 1,000 jobs.

We're now scaling two initiatives: the Sama Saathi Programme, our model for women-run digital centres at the heart of rural communities and Build for Good, our national student hackathon on top of our existing refurbishment work which fuels both of these programmes through hardware and network support. This role sits across all three, and across the grants and partnerships that fund them.

Program Lead - Grants, Growth & Partnerships

This is the seat that holds programmes, funding, and partnerships together. You'll run delivery across the Sama Saathi Programme ; write and manage the grants and fellowships for the organisation; and lead the CSR and corporate outreach that brings in more devices. You'll inherit an active pipeline with Tata Trusts, HCLTech, and a working grants and fellowship tracker and a founder who will hand over context generously, then get out of your way. It's a growth role: as the grant book and partner list expand, so does this seat, toward building and leading a small team under you.

What you'll do

• Run day-to-day delivery across the Saathi Programme and any new verticals of the Sama Digital Foundation; timelines, budgets, field coordination, reporting

• Work directly with Saathis on and off the ground; turn field data into evidence that our programmes work and can be sustained

• Write and manage funding proposals for trusts, corporates, and CSR partners, from first pitch to signed grant

• Maintain and grow the fellowship and grants tracker across recognition, funding, and visibility

opportunities

• CSR and corporate outreach, matching partners to the right vertical based on their actual priorities

• Shape how Sama presents itself in decks, one-pagers, and programme documentation

What we're looking for

• Experience managing a programme, a partnership pipeline, or a comms function ideally some mix of the three

• Someone who can write a grant proposal a funder would approve

• Comfortable on a field visit as much as in a remote pitch

• Doesn't need hand holding - you'll build some of them yourself

• Belief that the outcome for the Saathi, the student, or the artisan matters more than the metric that represents them

Employment Type: Full-time, direct hire

Location: Based in India, hybrid with travel to programme sites across India

Start: Flexible, ideally by the 1st week of August

Compensation: Commensurate with experience
